Condition-based Maintenance Program Establishes a Predictive and Active Approach to Maintenance and Operations for Oil and Gas Company Driving Forward Plant Reliability

The customer was suffering from the lowest production efficiency in the U.K. oil and gas industry, at 51% PE in 2015. They were losing circa 8 million barrels of production through unexpected equipment failures per annum. By embedding a Condition Monitoring (CM) team from John Crane to work alongside the customer, John Crane was able to develop a complete Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) program for 1,500 pieces of equipment across 10 assets. The CBM program now underpins all plant maintenance, operations and inventory management activities, helping the customer drive and improve asset reliability. Learn more in the case study below.

Data Validation, Cleansing and Hierarchy Review Ensures Clients Computerized Maintenance Management System Data is Accurate and Drives Optimized Maintenance and Reliable Activities

The customer was struggling with incomplete data in their Computerized Maintenance Management System, which led to problems in planning maintenance activities, ordering spares and managing inventory. John Crane helped the customer implement new technologies and processes to optimize their asset management system and maintenance activities across their fleet of assets. The customer saw improved Safety Critical Equipment and Preventative Maintenance Assurance Routine management, reliability and production efficiency and reduction in downtime and maintenance costs.
